For Chamas to be successful in anything they do, they have to have the ability to focus. Focus is not only needed when you are competing in any sports, even while you are driving you need to focus your mind and sight on the road ahead. Having laser sharp focus is crucial to your long term success. Having a good investment idea and sticking with it until it either succeeds of fails is actually a vital skill, a skill that many Chamas lack and fail as a result.
Have you ever experienced being part of a Chama investment project? In the middle of everything, you decided to change the course of action in your Investment plan, believing that this is a better investment strategy compared to the first one. Well, you are not the only one.
Many Chamas that decided to change tactic end up failing. The reason is because they have the inability to focus on the strategy at hand. Instead of changing course, they should have focused on what is at hand and find means to improve it.
Every Chama has investment goals to achieve. If you want to be successful, you need to consider these factors: First, you need a clear goal set. For example, you want to save at least 3 million shillings to invest in real estate. Next, you have to put a time frame when you expect this goal to be achieved. You want to save 3 million shillings in 3 years. What are the steps you need to take for you to achieve this goal? Write it down.
To be successful, you have to be disciplined and focused. To help your Chama focus, you can enlist all members’ help to support and remind each other to be on track. Members will be the ones to push each other into reaching their goals. Try this method if you want to be successful in achieving your Chama goals. Plan and set goals clearly; commit yourself to the plan and have a support system from members until you are able to reach your goals.
Persistence works, Not Single Spurts of Effort. Chamas often feel powerful spurts of desire, of determination, of feeling like they’re willing to do whatever it takes. Feeling that way for a few months is a common feeling. However, to really succeed you need to be able to stay motivated and inspired about what you’re doing for months and years at a time. Investment is not a short term game. You have wins and you have losses. It’s a matter of persisting through all the ups and downs to the final result of real success. That takes time and focus.
Be Focused, but Stay Flexible. As investors, it’s important that you’re able to adapt to your environment and do what’s necessary to make your Chama investment plans succeed. This and staying focused may sound like contradictory concepts, but they’re actually very complimentary. On the other hand, if something isn’t working then don’t bash yourselves trying to make it work. Instead, be willing to be flexible and adapt. Being able to hold both focus towards a goal and flexibility in the method of getting there is crucial to success.Tags: Focus Oriented
